There are no valid static tests to perform on the oxygen sensor. It should be diagnosed using an Auto Repair Software. First, verify that there are no stored codes for the oxygen sensor. The engine control unit must first run through the oxygen sensor time delay before a trouble code will be set so this may take several minutes at idle to occur.
Disconnect the harness going to the oxygen sensor. Remove the oxygen sensor from the exhaust pipe. Install new oxygen sensor to specification (torque: 13 ft-lb).Connect the harness going to the oxygen sensor.
